Another two weeks of school holidays has finished and its a good time to reflect on what we did and what we spent.
We've just returned from a lovely holiday. Arriving home, I had a look at our bank balance and....mmm... it's not great...
It was Father's Day the other week and we had a fabulous - and frugal - day. We could have spent a fortune, we could have spent less, but we chose not to.
We finished our winter school holidays here in Western Australia a couple of weeks ago. I'd set myself an ambitious target to spend only $50 for the two weeks .
I posted earlier about how we'd been to the zoo and hadn't spent a single cent. A big part of this was purchasing annual tickets using some money we had gratefully received as a Christmas gift. But would it be frugal to purchase this with our own, hard-earned cash?
Today we went to the zoo, zoo, zoo. Huh - that's not so frugal, I hear you shout! Nope, a day out to the zoo could cost us in excess of $150. But we spent nothing, nada, naught, nowt.
